Hello Michelle,
I have a doppler and can hear two different heart beats. I am currently 23 weeks and I am listening just above bikini line. The one at the bottom left registers at around 140-150. The other which is located botton right registers around 150-160. Both are quite clear and sound the same. Is it possible that one is the cord?? Or could both be the cord as I can see the cords are quite long and could be twisted around. I cannot seem to find any other heartbeats other than these two. I am able to switch from one to the other instantly. My concern is that maybe there are two in there. Only one has been detected on ultrasounds, altough around 13 weeks my obstertrician though she saw too many limbs for one, then decided no, there was only one. My HCG has been quite high, I have gained a lot more weight than with my other three pregnancys and had extreme nausia up until 18 weeks. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Mel

It is possible, especially after 20 weeks to hear the heartbeat in more than one place. I would definitely talk to your health care provider about this though, especially if there was a possibility of a multiple pregnancy when viewed via ultrasound.

Let me know!!
